Remarks: MSW3 and MDD recognize bengalensis as a full species of Nycticebus. Monotypic. MCZ considers it part of Nycticebus coucang and uses this name as a blanket for a number of Nycticebus species (borneanus, bengalensis, etc.). Family name was originally Loridae, as used in MCZbase, but the more commonly used spelling of Lorisidae was conserved by IUCN Opinion 1995.
